I bought my Cool Kevlar jacket in May of 2001. I wear it every day when it is hot. After 9 years of washing and sweat, it still looks pretty good. (The YKK zipper pull broke a few years back, and minor fraying along the opening for the shoulder armor - that's it.) Can't wait to get my new Ultra CK and Power Jeans! Ken JOnes

I purchased the cool mesh summer jacket last yeay(2009) after previously having a ultra cool k summer jacket(2000). The new jacket now has a back protector and is still very comfortable especially in summer in Sydney.the black/purple colour is very stylish and also very conspicuous which is a good thing.
keep up the good work

have just received the cool pants 2 and they are great.Very comfortable and look like normal jeans.
The strap for the knee armour is a great idea and keeps it in place.
Hot and humid day today and wearing the cool pants and the rain pants was a bit damp from sweat but leathers would have been worse.
Looking forward to wearing them when its not raining.
Nothing is comfortable when its hot humid and raining. You are almost wetter from sweat than the rain!
I purchased a cool jacket in 2001 and it is still going strong. The best jacket I have worn in summer . Better than textile and leather jackets.
Like others have stated I also havent tested the anti abrasive properties of the gear and I am happy for it to stay that wayt
Thanks again for all your help and prompt replies.Package arrived yesterday the 31/1/08 after being sent on the 24th which is only a week:fantastic.
I have also recommended your gear to all my motorcycling friends.
I first heard about you through an ad in The Australian Motorcycle News(AMCN) BACK IN 2001, but I havent seen any ads locally for BROSH for quite a while
Keep up the good work

A slight delay in order fulfillment, but shipping was fast for an overseas order. Arrived just in time for me to get my license an start riding !
Great colors and fit!
I bought due to the testimonials of crashes where skin and bones were saved.

Hello,
I've been well and have enjoyed the summer jacket. I've been very pleased with the ventilation and comfort as well as the security of the kevlar and armor. Thanks for the follow-up and the birthday acknowledgement .

Thanks to all at Brosh, received my order last friday, almost 2 weeks exactly as promised. (This in itself is remarkable, considering the Philippine postal system.)
I do alot of off road on an old dual sports(Africa Twin) over here, so no doubt you'll be hearing from me again soon, well not too soon I hope. The jeans and armour are just "magic"!
Deeply appreciated and many thanks again.

Adela:
Perhaps this note is insignificant given current circumstances but here is an endorsement for the Kevlar jacket I purchased from you.
I was taking a pleasant Sunday ride and, on a steep turn, hit a patch of loose gravel causing the rear tire of my Harley Davidson VRSCA to lose traction. The bike left the road and skidding across a large front lawn of grass but nonetheless is close to being a total wreck. I rolled clear, tumbling past the lawn down a gravel driveway. Ultimately I was taken by ambulance to the hospital where my left ankle had to be rebuilt with screws and a graft to cover the loss of skin.
My upper body sustained no major injuries! The armor worked perfectly and the Kevlar held together with the exception of the inside of my left lower arm which suffer abrasions and contusions. Both the emergency staff and hospital told my wife that the jacket saved me from injuries to the upper body similar to my ankle. So with the exception of the shredding of the material the jacket delivered. Thank G-D.
I won't be riding for the rest of this year, but before I get on my next bike I'll be getting a new Brosh jacket for sure.
|
|
I have found the jacket to fold up nicely into a very nice compact bundle.
It takes up little space in my back pack leaving room for the rest of my stuff.
It is nice not to have to lug the jacket around.
Though wearing or carrying it around has advantages, such as looking like a cool biker!

|
Hey Adela, Good to hear from you.
The trip was great 4000 miles on the bike across the US from east to west. We road through 2" of snow at one point when we got up in the mountains in Yellowstone Park above the 7000 ft elevation level. Got kind of hairy in those mountain roads with no guard rails. Also seen a couple mud slides, and to many miles of gravel roads when we ran into construction. The snow isnât the kind of stuff we like with our big touring bikes. But you have to take it as it comes!!!
I loved the cool pants; they were fantastic on the hot day and were fine even on the cool days. So please just send me another pair of those in âœBlackâ if you have then in the same size as the last pair.
Thanks again for the great services.
Bob
The husband of the other couple we road on the trip with, said he had to have a pair after seeing them. He got cooked in the 100deg temps in his Dragin jeans. I bragged them up since they really helped dissipate the heat!
|
|
After wearing this jacket for only a month I had an opportunity to test it out. While turning on a blind corner I was faced with a car coming from the other direction in my lane. I locked the brakes, and instead of sliding I dumped the bike and landed (hard) with all of my weight and a significant amount of weight from my 300lb scooter on my left elbow. Im confident that if it wasnt for my Ultra CK Sport jacket with the optional pads I would have shattered my elbow. Unfortunately, my ultra cool pants hadnt arrived yet, so I did end up with a slightly scraped knee.

I ordered my Power Jeans and Cool Pants on Wednesday, and I received them the following Monday. I wish I could get gear so quickly from some US based companies - kudos to your prompt shipping and the pants and jeans are very nice too.

Adela:
Just another short note to say that the more I wear your company's jacket, the more I love it's versatility, and comfort. This morning on my way to work it was unusually cool for this time of year, so I just wore a sweatshirt underneath, and it worked out fine for my commute.
One quick question: I know that you design, and manufacture motorcycle clothing geared for warmer climates, but are you in the future thinking about something a little more protective in terms of temperature similar to the First Gear Kilimanjaro style (cool season jacket with armor)? Let me know if you are.
Thanks,
Ted

I live in the Coachella Valley, Southern Calif, where Temps are 110 everyday from July thru Sept. so I bought a Brosh Sportex jacket three years ago. I was really glad I had it on last summer when I hit the road for the first time in 40 years of riding. A guy pulled out in front of me in a parking lot and I fell on my left arm and leg. I really feel that my arm would have been broken without the armor based on what the jacket looked like after the accident. I like the looks of the new C K Sport and plan to get one with the armor ASAP Great price, great product Thanks, Jerry

Dear Brosh, It took under two weeks for me to receive my Ultra Cool K summer jacket. What a great looking jacket and beautifully made with quality work evident in every way. It has been very hot and humid here in Philadelphia, Pa. USA. The Brosh jacket has made it possible to ride my motorcycle on 90 degree plus days and not feel like I am being roasted when I must stop for a red light. I like being seen by motorists when I ride so the light gray color aids in my conspicuity. Thanks for a product that is worth every penny I spent. Bill Mc Gowan

----- Original Message ----- Sent: Thursday, July 21, 2005 1:09 PM Subject: FW: POWER JEAN PADDING
Hello again Orly It has been a while since we last discussed the custom jeans you made for me and I wanted to let you know how they are working out. At the same time that I bought the jeans from you I also bought a pair from a leading British company. I have had a chance to do some riding in both pairs and here is what I think. The jeans you folks made are nicer then the British ones. The British ones are completely lined with Kevlar. They get pretty hot and not much air comes through even when riding at 60 or so. In addition the Kevlar is the only padding in the jeans. One the other hand, the Brosh jeans with the custom leg padding are much cooler - not that they don't get a little warm on 90 degree day but more comfortable then the British ones. also the padding in yours is much nicer, thicker with more protection in critical areas. and the fit is better and not as stiff as the British ones especially around the front of hips and groin. So, all and all I am very happy with my custom Brosh jeans. Thanks again for putting them together for me. Take care Frank

Cool K Jacket. We have used Brosh Cool K and Ultra Cool K jackets when touring in India. No other Jacket available seems to give the same freedom and comfort. Having seen first hand the outcome of accidents in India, the Kevlar and Hextech protection is very reassuring. Delivery is prompt and reliable. Highly recommended. regards John & Pat Mock New Zealand.

Good day! I web-ordered a pair of Cool Pants and Power Jeans and was absolutely amazed at the quick delivery! The Power Jeans are especially impressive, as I have equipped them with the T-Pro knee armor. Now, I can ride in jeans and be well protected. The Power Jeans are a better deal than similar products on the market, and have faster U.S. delivery than domestic made items! I am looking forward to purchasing an Ultra Cool K Sport jacket. Thank you for great products.

Attached is a picture of the Brosh coat, which in all probability saved my shoulder from being seriously hurt in a recent motorcycle/car accident I was involved in.
I was returning to work during my lunch break and was proceeding through an intersection when a car made a left hand turn in front of me. I had a choice of hitting the side of the car and being thrown into or over the top of the car or laying the bike down and sliding into it (which I did). I slid approximately 50 feet on my right side, with my right boot, right shoulder of the coat and helmet taking most of the impact and abrasion from the slide. Other than being very sore (and scared) I didn't receive a scratch!
I don't even want to think what my shoulder would look like if I had not had on my Brosh coat. Thank You!
This coat saved me from very serious injury. I didn't receive a scratch!
Keep doing what your doing, it works!
Sincerely,
Bob Schick

The Ultra CK jacket arrived most promptly and I've now had occasion to use it four times.
This is a wonderful product and I've already been asked twice, "Where did you get that?". Needless to say, I tell them.
Thank you for working with me on getting this.

I recently purchased an Ultra-CK jacket with full armor and pants. I was a little nervous with the idea of ordering clothes without trying them on. I sent Brosh and e-mail and they helped me decide on the proper size and fit for my build. My jacket arrived only a few days after I ordered it. I used it to pick up a motorcycle in Orlando on a 500 mile ride in the summer heat when it was 90 plus degrees. I am very happy with the product and service. I am presently waiting on a pair of cool pants that I ordered one size bigger to wear as summer overpants on my commute to work. Thanks for the great product and great service.

Here is Florida it is 95+ most afternoons, and your jacket is lighter and cooler than the Joe Rocket mesh jacket that I have. I haven't worn the Joe Rocket since I got my Brosh-Tex. My wife just started riding and we have just ordered her a jacket, along with the riding pants for each of us. I'll bet the pants are lighter and cooler than jeans.

Every email that I have sent has been answered right away and you have made me feel like I am the only customer that you have, even though with your gear and prices I know that this is NOT true. Thank you! You guys (especially my new friend Orlie) are the best that I have dealt with, your responsive, courteous, and prompt, plus you make great gear. What's the matter with you guys? :-) You're giving all of the other businesses look bad. Keep up the great work!!!

I recently purchased a bike cover. I like it very much. I would like to point out that the cover has heat resistant material on the exhaust side of the bike. This feature is not noted in the web site description of the cover. Inclusion of heat resistant material was unexpected at this price. The cover is an excellent value.

I know this is out-of-season for most of us, but I just recieved a mesh jacket from Brosh, inc. (www.brosh.com), and I am so impressed, I just had to spread the word.
I bought their Ultra Cool K jacket online. When it arrived, the sizing was WAAAAY off. I sent an e-mail asking if there was any way to modify the jacket, as I was impressed by the quality and materials. I got an answer from Vicki, who asked that I send a dress shirt that fits well, and they will CUSTOM make the jacket using the shirt as a model.
After several other e-mails back and forth, keeping me up to date on progress, I got the jacket, and it seems great!
A full report will have to wait for warmer weather, but my guess is that it will be excellent. There are velcro straps everywhere to prevent flapping, and create perfect fit, there are zippered vents, pockets and available armor, and the material is a mesh made of Kevlar. The workmanship is excellent, and I cannot say enough about t! he customer service they provided. Prices are reasonable, as well.
Anyone in the market should take a look at their website. I don't think you will be disappointed.
As usual, all disclaimers apply, no affilliation, no personal gain, etc. YMMV

Just a word to let you know I have been riding with my Ultra Cool Brosh Jacket for a few weeks now and it has brought out some extra riding in me during the hot days of August here in Iowa. The jacket feels comfortable when your moving or standing.
Even the day I received my credit card bill with the charge on it from Brosh brought a smile to my face because it was money well spent.
Thanks for offering a jacket that fits, has some of the features I demand in my motorcycle gear, and at a price that is affordable.
Thanks Again,
Michael C.

I posted the following message to both the Honda PC800 and BMW K1200LT Yahoo! groups after my July ride.
A while ago, there was an active discussion on summer weight riding clothes. I was considering Brosh gear as I found my Aerostich/Joe Rocket combo too darned hot in 90+ weather and was planning a trip to Alabama. Not much info was available on Brosh, but I intended to report back if I purchased and used the gear. I did, and I'm happy!
I couldn't think of a more customer centered company as well as having some ideal products. I ordered a pair of their Kevlar Power Jeans and a Cool K Summer Jacket with pads. The products were shipped from TelAviv to Indiana, arrived very quickly and the company e-Mailed status to me along with their personal desire to see me satisfied including complete instructions for return or exchange.
The jacket was perfect, but the jeans were way too large. Vicki, the rep I dealt with exclusively said that the euro sizes ran small, so she sent me the equivalent size 36US as I thought a 34 would be my size.
Since I was short on time for my trip, I asked if I could send the jeans back for a smaller size and if they would let them cross in the mail. Vicki said that would be fine and they would even refund my postage costs for the return shipment. They were as good as their word and did all they said they would. Great service!!
Now, what about the clothing? The new jeans are still a bit larger than I would purchase and I will know to order two sizes smaller than I normally wear in the future. The jeans are generously cut for comfort and the legs are long enough that they don't ride up over my boots. They are cut from heavy denim and have Kevlar pads velcroed into the hip area on both sides and Kevlar knee protection sewn into
both legs that go from above the knee to over the shin. The knee pads have velcro tops that open for armor pads and velcro inside to secure small pads, if needed. I used the pads from an older pair of Motoport pants and they fit fine. At $49.00, they seem to be a really great value, especially compared to Draggin' jeans at $80.
The Cool K jacket is very light weight and almost feels fragile at first, until I remembered it is Kevlar reinforced and a poly-cotton material. Seems plenty tough after a long ride. I'd recommend purchase of the optional armor pads as the pockets are cut to fit and they don't flap around. There is also a pouch and velcro for back
armor that looks like it would take my Aerostich stuff without any modification, but I haven't put it in yet. There are sleeve, underarm, and back vents to let the air flow and plenty of adjusting straps to get the fit you want. I was quite comfortable in 90+ weather and the material dries pretty quickly after a shower. I found that putting the jacket on over a wet shirt when the temperature got over 100 on one day was a good way to stay cool as the jacket slowed the evaporation from the shirt a bit and I only needed to re-wet about every two hours. The only oddity is the reversed Euro zipper, but that took all of 30 seconds to master.
YMMV, but I am quite pleased with what I bought. I don't intend to give you a performance report on the ability to prevent road rash and cushion pavement bumps as I believe an ounce of prevention . . . But, I'd like to hear testimonial from anyone who has had the misfortune
of getting off at other than a full stop and was wearing Brosh Tech clothing at the time.

Dear Sir,
Yesterday I received an Ultra Cool jacket with elbow/shoulder armor and a back protector.
I went for a ride yesterday and it was quite warm here at
34C. Your product performed well and I was just as cool as I would have been in a tee shirt.
I was impressed with the quality of workmanship and the prompt shipping.
Thanks.

First Impressions:
For hot weather riding, this is the coolest and most comfortable jacket that I have ever worn. Plus, with the armor installed, one of the most protective.
The collar is something that nobody else does right. It is strong enough to stay in place and protect your neck, but light enough not to be hot. Other collars that flap around on your neck in an effort to provide airflow are very irritating, and leave your neck unprotected for whatever to hit it. Great attention to this detail.
The only nit that I can find is with the pleates for the zippers at the wrist openings. When wearing the jacket, those pleats just hang open, which kind of defeats the purpose of having them.
But that nit is a very small thing compared to everything that I've found right with the jacket so far. Thanks a bunch!

|
Dear Brosh Tech,
The accident happened when a car pulled out in front of us from a side street. I was able to stop the bike prior to hitting the car, but we were thrown off the bike and skidded on the pavement for approx. 20 feet. The jackets were torn on the shoulder and elbow area. The Kevlar did not give way and so, no road rash for us. The jackets worked as we expected and saved our skin in various areas. Thanks!
We ordered the replacement jackets due to our confidence caused by our accident. We did upgrade to your newest cool jacket. We were tempted to try Joe Rocket Phoenix or First Gear Mesh Tex but decided not to change due to our good result during our accident.

We are so impressed with our Brosh Ultra Cool K/CoolMax jackets -- it has only been 90+ degrees here (we will be 100 degrees and warmer soon!); even 2-up,in "stop and go" city traffic, we are very comfortable (and protected).
Thanks for your great email help, wonderful internet service, and efficient shipping.

Hi! I received my jacket today in Tucson, AZ USA and put it on for a ride. It was 106 degrees out and I absolutely felt comfortable! Of course the armor added a bit of sweat but it was very tolerable. I am so happy I chose this coat over the current fashion here in Tucson of Joe Rocket jackets such as the Phoenix. I have the blue and grey jacket and it so much better than the predominently black Joe Rocket jackets( what were they thinking?) I am going to show all my cruising buddies this coat and generate some sales for you! Thanks again Vicki for the service and I would like to add that all the reviews I have read are right on the money concerning your service, price and selection. I can't believe how fast you shipped this item. It left on 5-24 and I received it 5-30-02.Wow! You people are super and I will highly recommend this to anyone I see! Thank you for making a bearable safe armored jacket for us desert dwellers! You are welcome to use this for your advertising in any way you like!

Just a note to let you know that the Ultra Cool K jackets I recently ordered for my wife and I work great! Had a four day trip through south and central Texas, an area which gets rather warm, this past weekend. I am using the jacket for two Y. All you need to become a beleaver is one "small fall" ( which I had) & the thought of how would it end without the jacket...
|
|
i just got a foam back for my summer jacket, i was very happy to discover that not only it wasn't hoter with it, but because it kept the jakcet in form there was a lot more air intake then befor and at the same time it didn't blow up like a baloon and add drag at 100 kmh (60 mph)
|
|
I bought a cool kevlar summer jacket last summer. I live in Oklahoma, and it regularly gets over 100 degrees F here in late summer and early fall. Most riders end up with short sleves to avoid the hear. But, the kool kevlar jacket is perfect. Good protection without the heat and sweat.
My only complaint is that the zipper pull is on the opposite side from the side US garments usually have the zipper pull on. So instead of zipping with my right hand, I zip with my left hand. Frankly, it's no big deal, though, I think the cool kevlar jacket is great.
|
|
What a great idea! I wonder how many Australian hides would still be in one piece if they could only catch on here. Still far too many thongs, shorts and T shirts, minus gloves for my liking.

Last November, 2000, I ordered a Cool Kevlar Jacket from you. The transaction went flawlessly. Since that time I have worn my jacket everytime I ride. Hot, cold it does not matter. The way the jacket vents and openings are placed (with velcro closures)you can fit the jacket to you and the weather. The jacket has been washed many times and it held up very well. Last week, I had my first incident in my 20 years if riding. I laid my bike down
on a dirt road. A person stepped out from between some parked cars on the side of the road right in front of me. I had to lay down my 750 Yamaha to keep from hitting him. I fell hitting my left arm
and back. The Kevlar placement was exactly where I landed.
Landing on small rocks on a dirt road could have hurt me very badly. I had a small scratch to the jacket. The bike was not so lucky. The crash split my windshield, tore off a mirror, cracked a
side cover, and took off the back turn signal. I wish I could buy a jacket for my motorcycle. If only the jacket had protected my
motorcycle like it protected me. So, today I ordered a jacket for my son. His birthday is this Saturday and this is an additional gift for him. Thank you. Your product is excellent. You should advertise more in the United States. You could sell a lot of jackets at Bike Week and Biktoberfest in Daytona, FL. Stan Echols, Brandon, FL
